Nelson Farber is an actor, writer, director, producer, television journalist and attorney.
His content regularly appears on Germany’s top culture and science television slots, including Aspekte/ZDF, Kulturzeit/3sat and Nano/3sat.
He earned a B.A. from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, and a Law Degree from the American University, Washington College of Law, Washington, DC.
After practicing law for many years, he went on to study filmmaking at The New School and School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, and theater and acting in Berlin.
He is also an alum of the prestigious Documentary Campus Masterschool, Class of 2010.
Later shifting towards acting, he has appeared in films and on stage, while studying with top instructors.

Nominated, alongside co-producer Christine Daum-Farber, for the prestigious LiteraVision 2014 award for best German television piece on Nicholson Baker’s House of Holes in an Aspekte segment.
Numerous television segments exploring culture, science, and technology aired on the prominent German-language programs Aspekte, Kulturzeit, and Nano. Has interviewed and profiled top luminaries, including winners of the Nobel Prize and National Book Award.
Festival appearances for the medium-length film Song of Solomon and the short film Final Position.
Recognition as an award-winning storyteller at The Bear, a true storytelling format in Berlin, achieving the honor of twice-voted best story and being selected into the event’s Night of the Champs.
Premiere of the one-person theater piece, Fractures, in Berlin, April 2023.
Current involvement in post-production and pre-production for multiple fiction and documentary feature film projects, along with the development of theater pieces.
Extensive acting roles in short films, television, corporate projects, and commercials.
Co-founding Directors Collective NYC, a cooperative group of directors engaging in scene study workshops and collaborative projects.
Continuous pursuit of acting studies in the Michael Chekhov Technique, supplemented by regular acting and directing studies under the guidance of famed theater director and instructor Jurij Alschitz in Berlin, Germany.
Currently in rehearsals, lead role in Yasmina Reza’s Der Gott des Gemetzels, scheduled for Berlin, Germany, December, 2024.
